Marketing Manager - Mutual Fund
About the Job
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing innovative and effective marketing strategies for The Merk Mutual Funds, building on Merk Investments' position as the pioneer and leading promoter of currencies as an asset class.
This position is located in Palo Alto, California.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multi-channel marketing strategy for The Merk Mutual Funds.
- Build in-depth analytical understanding of Merk’s target audience, customer segmentation, product expertise and competitive landscape.
- Translate these insights into industry-leading product marketing and brand management strategies to grow audience, utilizing, amongst others, website presence, media outreach, presentation materials, marketing collateral and exhibition appearances.
- Coordinate the maintenance and on-going development of Merk websites www.merkfunds.com and www.sustainablewealth.org
- Manage distribution and exposure optimization of newsletters and press releases. Actively align message, content and style to grow audience while strengthening the Merk branding.
- Manage and actively develop media relations, conferences, speaking engagements and press tours.
- Contribute to new product development based on understanding of customer needs and Merk's expertise.
Education and/or Experience
- 5+ years successful track record as a marketing professional in the mutual fund or related industry
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
- Impeccable communication skills; knowledge of AP style
- Advanced project management and coordination skills
- Eye for design, creative and innovative mind and appreciation for detail
- At ease with IT systems, software, various gadgets, latest web-based tools to get the message out efficiently and creatively
