A Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organization (NRSRO) is a rating organization designated by the SEC as being nationally recognized, such as Moody's Investor Service, Inc. (Moody’s), Standard & Poor’s (S&P), and Fitch Ratings (Fitch).
