In The Wall Street Journal Portfolio Manager Axel Merk says the world's central banks may be forced to intervene in some sort of coordinated way due to the deterioration in credit markets.

There are big problems and this is going to tackle some of them a little bit, but Congress might want to stay where they are and think about the next bailout package, says Mr. Merk.
